About Candor
Candor allows you to understand your work style and how you show up at work. Our goal is to help you get feedback in a way that’s fun and lightweight so you understand how to best work with your teammates. Eventually, we believe that the Candor network will be the way people represent themselves professionally - with more authenticity than professional networks of today. We're looking for our first Product Manager to join the team to work with design and engineering to scope and ship new features.
About the Role
- You will lead the product lifecycle from concept (conceptualize, design, document) to release (develop, test, market, prepare) to live support (triage, measure). Then do it again!
- You will break down product documents into executable user stories and technical requirements; collaborate with design and engineering partners to iterate, refine, test and ship.
- You’ll define success metrics to measure the impact of your products on the whole and with each new release; use quant + qual feedback to continuously place new bets and tests.
- You will design and run user interviews, surveys, and prototype tests; conduct research and analyze user feedback to inform opportunities for improvement and growth.
- You will develop and maintain a product backlog, partnering with analytics to use data and insights to assess the projected impact (and relative priority) of the initiatives.
- This role is highly dynamic and cross functional and will definitely change as we grow. You'll be in the drivers seat for the types of skills you want to develop and the projects you want to work on.
About You
- You're detailed, efficient, are great at implementing process, and like the autonomy and speed of a startup environment.
- You have some fluency in how good engineering works, how to estimate timelines, and how best to communicate with engineers.
- You have a growth mindset and are excited to get your hands dirty, but want a role you can grow in too.
- You are known for your scrappy hustle and results-oriented bias to action; you tackle the unfamiliar with fire and fun, you figure out how to get sh*t done.
- You might have experience as a PM at a fast-paced startup. Bonus points if it was a consumer-facing product.
- You like working in areas that you haven't before and can learn new processes and concepts quickly.
- You show a strong desire to learn from those around you and welcome feedback daily, seeing it as an opportunity to grow and become a better you.
About Us
- We're small, move quickly, and are working on an incredibly challenging, but rewarding problem. Our values center around being direct and kind, executing with speed and intention, and the belief that personal growth is professional growth.
- You'll report to our founder, Kelsey. Here's what it's like to work with her.
